Indo-US Cyber Security Forum: Legal Seminar
18-19 April 2005, New Delhi, India

The National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with SecureSynergy as Knowledge Partner organised the Indo-US Cyber Security Seminar 18-19 April 2005 with a focus on Data Protection, Privacy, IPR and Piracy. The initiative coincided with the visit of 50 top US business and government decision makers in the field of cyber security and IPR.

The seminar was a platform to showcase India's preparedness and to understand what more needs to be done in the areas of Cyber Security, Privacy and IPR in order for Indian companies to operate globally.

With a participation of over 150 plus government and business decision makers and legal experts from India and 50 from the US, the two-day seminar provided an excellent platform for government-to-business and business-to-business interaction on legal issues affecting IPR, privacy and cyber security.

It enabled CEOs, CIOs, CTOs of Indian IT and e-commerce companies to discuss major issues and challenges and explore the possibility of partnerships with their counterparts in the US.
